LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held in the District Land and Survey Office, on Thursday. There were present—Messrs John jStrauohon (chairman), A. Reese, T. H. Robinson, and J. Dawson. TRANSFER. E. Goats to A. E. Hill, Mount •Cerberus; 3. Kerr to I, Ruakell, Puttetoi; J. Ham to W. Hull, Ma &uri; S. JReban to A. Dawson, Tailiape township; 3. Walsh to M. Walsh, HorowbenuaEast; H. Brown to D. Brebner, Pahiafcua. Mr 3. Darlington, senr., attended, and asked that the transfer of section 6, block 8, Puketoi, from Mr 0. G. Patchett to John Darlington, junr., should be stopped. The answer given him was that the Board could not do so without the consent of both parties. The transfer was approved, MISCELLAOEOUS. An application by Mr J. G. Monteith to surrender an aovo and a half of section 7, block 19, Mangabao, so that it could be set aside as a school site was approved on the usual conditions. The Board deoided that it could not entertain an application from Mr T. Whitta that his sons should be granted 600 or 800 additional acres adjoining their present holdings. A report was received from the Grown Lands : Ranger on the applications of Messrs Timmins, Harvey and Hugban, for additional areas in the Kaiparoro block, and it was resolved to ask the ranger to supply a scheme of subdivision which will suit all the applicants except Mr Harvey, whose application was approved.
