The Masterton portion of the Outward mail is made up on "Wednesday Afternoon prior to the Wellington sailing date, and a supplementary mail is despatched, closing it 5.30 a.m. on Thursday following, connecting with the steamer at New Plymouth. The Inward m-iil is due at Masterton by the 10.0 pm. on tae same -*ate as at Wellington. MASTERTON TELEGRAPH HOURS. The office hours for telegraph work, at Masterton, are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight daily (Saturday excepted). Sundays from sto 5.80 p.m. Holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight. Telephone Exchange is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily (Sundays excepted).
