The Masterton portion of the Outward mail ia made up on Wednesday Afternoon prior to the Wellington sailing date, and a supplementary mail is despitched, closing *t 5.30 a.m. on Thursday following, connecting with the steamer at New Plymouth. The Inward miil is due at Masterton by the 10.0 p m. on the same as at Wellington. MASTERTON TELEGRAPH_HOURS. The office hours for telegraph work, at Masterton, are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight daily (Saturday excepted). Sundays from 5 to 5.30 p.m. Holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 7 p.m. to midnight. "Telephone Exchange is open from 8 a.m. to midnight daily (Sundays excepted). On Good Friday and Christmas Day the hours are 9 to 10 a.m. only RATES OF POSTAGE. (From the N.Z. Postal Guide).
