HAWERA, January 26. The final test resulted as follows. —Wanganui, 116 points; Woolston, 115; Timaru, 105; Palmerston, 104; Taranaki, 93. Wanganui thus wins tne £SO prize for the Quickstep Competition, and £IOO for the tests. The Association offloials are delighted with the general arrangements and conduct of the contest. It is not known yet how the finances will turn out, but a slight loss is expected. The additional solo competitions resulted as follow: E-flat Cornet.—-J. J. McGrath, Woolston, 96; J. Trussell, Wanganui, 95; S. Tombs, Palmerston, 91; W. Nioholls, Stratford, 90; K. Mara, South Canterbury, 83. B-flat Baritone.—G. Jensen, Wanganui Garrison, 91; S. Barton, Wooliton, 89; J. Dephoff, South Canterbury ney, Ruahine, 85; A. ;E. Fulljames, Auckland Regimental, 80.
