GUN ACCIDENT.
TIMARU, January 25. A gun accident whioh' resulted fatally, happened in the bush at Cannington, yesterday. Two men, named Joseph and David Gibson, cousins, were out cutting stakes for fenoing. The latter, who took a gun with him, left his work to shoot some birds and rabbits, when he tripped over some logs. The charge exploded, and entered his stomaoh. The injured man died two hours later. The deceased was a. single man, about 42 years of age. At the inquest, to-day, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
