11l - —» It is reported that the next move of the New Zealand Union will be to arrange for the viait of another British team to New Zealand, in 1908. Some excitement waa caused in Hobart on Saturday night week by the aotion of one grocer in remaining open while all the others closed. Some 2000 people surrounded the premises and hooted and jeered till closing time. In acknowledging the receipt of a resolution passed at a meeting of New Zealanders in Kalgoorlie to celebrate the Government victory at the recent election, the Premier says that if all goes well, he hopes to visit Australia in about three months' time. It is understood that important matters dealing with the administration of the polioe forces are to receive the consideration of Cabinet before being given effect to. The changes proposed by the Commissioner of Polioe have been sanctioned by tne Minister for Justice, but Mr MoQowan has decided to refer them to his colleagues for final endorsement.
