ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of shareholders of tlie New Zealand Farmers' Cooperative Distributing Company, Ltd, was helrS in Wellington on Thursday, December 28, Mr James G. Wilson, Chairman of Directors, presiding. In moving the adoption of the balance sheet, Mr Wilson stated 1 that after encountering many difficulties the company had now the prospects of a successful ' year in view. The business of the company bad been placed on a satisfactory and payable footing, and great extension had been made during the past few mouths. . The new site of the Farmers' Market had proved ia distinct success. Mr A. Leigh Hunt had accepted tbe management and the whole staff had been thoroughly ro-organiaed. He felt confident that farmers were, through the reduction of commissions alone, (for which the oompany oould o!aim entire credit) deriving a direct benefit of over £4OOO a year. Messrs James G. Wilson, Herbert J. Richards, and George E, Ohisnall, the retiring directors, were reelected. and Mr James Pearce, of Pahautanui, was elected to the racancy caused by the retirement of Mr A, Anderson, Votos of thanks were passed to the Chairman, Directors, Mr Anderson (retiring Director' Mr VV. Jack (retiring Auditur) and the members of the staff. At a subsequent meeting of the Directors Mr James G, Wilson was unanimously re elected Chairman for the ensuing year.
