THE WINDSOR.

There is to band from Messrs McLeod and Young, booksellers, etc., of Queen Street, the Christmas number of the Windsor Magazine. It is a superb Double Number, and can faithfully be described as a triumph of magazine enterprise. The beautiful art section has twenty-four excellent reproduotioos of the pictures of W. Dendy Sadler, Anthony Hope commences a new serial, a atory in the "Prisoner of Zenda" vein, entitled, "Sophy of Kravonia," illustrated by Fred. Pegram.. A novel and pleasing feature is the reproduction in colours of the famous "Vanity Fair cartoons." Twelve illustrated stories by Rudyard Kipling, Eden Philpotts, Justus Miles Forman, lan Maclaren, S. R Crookett and others. Among the other articles of importance is one of "The Green-Room," by Miss Ellen Terry, which is full of reminiscences of great interest to the play-going world, and an article on Red Indian life contains some of the finest illustrations that this picturesque ■subject can ever have inspired. Harry Furniss writes amusingly on "The Glasses of Our Legislators," and suits his illustrations to his text with admirable humour, and the "School-Boy" waxes funnier than ever on the subject of "Clothes." Many other features go to swell a bumper number which is superbly illustrated throughout.
