Rain stopped day in the interprovincial match, Wellington v. Canterbury, until 2.30, when Wellington resumed their' second innings, which closed for 50. The visitors thus won by 35 runs. Callaway and Bennett were the destructive agents, the former sending down 15 maidens out of 19 overs, and getting four wickets- for 14 '■uns, while Bennett got five wickets for 34 runs.
