The assertions of Cardinal Moran a few days ago in which he attacked the people of Sydney on their attitude regarding the Federal capital and presuming to epeak on behalf of the people of New South Wales when expressing appreciation of Mr Deakin's aotion, have elicited a reply from Mr Carrnthers, the State Premier. The latter says the Cardinal is a Home Ruler for Ireland, but not for New South Wales. His utterances are those of a oitizen whose vision is perverted by a strong sympathy with Mr Deakin and antipathy towards Mr Reid and himself. SUNDAY ISLAND MASSACRE.
