CHRISTMAS FAIR.

On December 2nd a successful Christmas Tree Fair was held in St. Margaret's Presbyterian Church, Silverstrearn. Mr. Jefcoate carried out the duties of Father Christmas in an able manner and the various stalls, managed bymembers of the Ladies' Guild, Girls' Bible Class, Choir and Senior Sunday School girls did good business. The stallholders were: Mrs. Ridling, Mrs. McKenzie and Mrs. Godber (work stall) ; Mrs. Holer oft (books and toys) ; Mrs. ChapmanTaylor and Mrs. Poole (cakes) ; Miss Nancy Castle (ice cream) ; Mrs. Cleaver (nail driving) ; Miss Hilda Stringer and Sunday School girls (sweets) ; Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Jefcoate and Mrs. M. Gard (supper) ; Mrs. Jefcoate and Bible Class Girls (Christmas tree) . The Ladies' Guild, who organised the Fair, wish to thank all who helped and all who kindly donated money, cakes and flowers.
