UPPER HUTT CARNIVAL.

The attention of the readers of the Upper Hutt "Weekly Review is drawn to a Carnival which is being- held in Maidstone Park to-morrow (Saturday, February Ist), by the Committee of the Upper Hutt Plunket Society, assisted by friends. The proceeds are to be devoted to the general funds of the branch, and the Children's Health Camp. The Carnival is to be opened at 2 p.m. by Mr. B. Roberts, M.P. There will be the usual stalls of cakes, produce, etc., side shows, and games for all. Great interest is being- attached to mystery envelopes, 2000 of which are to be sold at 6d. each. Included amongst the various articles to be -won are: Immersion heater, meat orders, coal orders, wood, grocery orders, folding picnic table, theatre picture seats, jardiniere, free enlai-gement (Marie Dean), satin cushions, electric torch, silk stocking-s, etc. Every purchaser of an envelope will receive a prize. The committee are greatly indebted to business firms and friends of Upper Hutt, also to many Wellington business firms for providing articles for this effort. The work of the Plunket Society is so -well known to our readers that we feel stare their attention has but to be drawn to the Carnival to ensure their attendance and patronage. The work of the Plunket Society in Upper Hutt and surrounding districts is undoubtedly appreciated and the Caimival tomorrow will be well worth attending.
