WAITAHUNA STOCK RAT.T! The Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association report having held their monthly stock sale at Waitdhuna on Tuesday, 19th inst. Woather conditions were anything but favourable and the attendance was not as good as usual. Bidding was, in consoquence, somewhat slack, and the sale was, somewhat dragging Wo yarded 1200 iheep and disposed of 870 at tho following prices:—2, 4, 6. and 8-toot'n ewes 20s to 28s, full and failing mouth ewes 2Bs (id to 27s 4d, 2-tooth wethers 20s to 20s 7(1, mixed sex hoggets 16s to 23s 6d, wether hoggets to 22s 4d, owe hoggets to 245, fat wethers 27s 3d to 35s 6d, fat owes to 255. Cattle—Fat cows £ls" 7s (id to £ls 15s, fat bullocks to £l6, cows coming to profit £lO 12s 6d, 18mos old cattle £3 10s to £6 10s. i Our . next sale will be held on or about the 16th September. I

Stronach, Morris and Co., Ltd, report fur week ended Thursday, 21at August, 1919, as follows : Fat Cattle—lso penned—a medium yarding, the bulk of which came in by road. Competition was keen and priocs were well up to last week'<t rates and towards the end of the sale showed an advance of £1 per head. Prime bullocks £2O to £2B 12s 6d, medium to good £lB to £22, light and unfinished £ls to £'l7 10s, prime heifers £ls 10s to £lB I.ls, medium to good £l3 15s to £l4 15s, light from £lO 10s to £ll. Sl.eep—There was a small yarding 1200 being ponnod, consisting mostly of medium quality •with a few pens of sleep. Competition was good and prices slowed an advance of from 2s to 3s per lend on last week's rates. Extra lieavy wethers 53s to 72s 6d, prime 55s to 02s, medium to good 46s to 30s, light and unfinished 34s to 48s. Pigs—There was a small yarding of boll fats and stores Competition was very keen and prices showed a good advance on last week's rates. Oats.—Owing to the railway restrictions there has been no oats arriving <if late and very litle business has been passing. There is a good demand, however, for lines suitable for seed. Prime milling to 4s 3d, good to best feed 4s to 4s 2d, inferior to good 3s Cd lo 3s 9(1 per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—There has boon vory little offering of late and millers take any lines suitable at Government rates Fowl wheat meets with a good enquiry. Potatoes—There has been very few offering of late and the market continues firm for prime freshly picked lines, which meet with a ready sale at quotalinns. Choice tables to £ll, jrood £lO In £lO 10s; medium to good £9 to £lO per ton (sacks in).

Oh a IT.—Feeders are still holding i;ood supplies and tho demand is conlined practically to prime quality, which meets with a fair demand at quotations. Medium chaff, however, is difficult to quit. Choice oaten sheaf to £7 ss, medium to good £6 10s to £7. inferior £5 lis lo £6 10s per ton (sacks extra).
