Tlic quarterly meeting of the above body was held ill the I'ire Brigade Sta- ! tion 011 Tuesday, 19th. inst. Present — j Messrs Leary (Chairman). Webb, Jleln- . tosh and Christie. An apology was re- j eeived for the absence of ilr Buchan. The Superintendent of the Fire Brigade reported that the usual practices had been regularly held and well attended and that the plant was in good order and condition. —Heceived. The Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs wrote instructing the forwarding n nturn of all fires, firo losses and brigade calls during tho past year.—The secretary reported that there had been no fires or calls on the brigade during the year, and members expressed their satisfaction at the freedom from the destroying element. —The secretary was instructed to report accordingly. A statement of the financial position of the board showed a credit balance at Bank of £7 B,< Id. : The secretary submitted a draft of i the balanco-shtet for the year. Some slight alterations were suggested by the i members and the secretary was author- ■ ised to have it piinted and circulated i among contributors when it had been audited. ' :
