OVER 100 a PEOPLE KILLED.

CONSTANTINOPLE, April 19. Over 1000 persons were killed at Aidana, including 700 Armenians. Fire destroyed half the town/ but the situation is better. At Tarsus affairs are in a critital state. At Marass 20 were killed. The Americans have' an important mission there. CONSTANTINOPLE, April 20. Consular telegrams estimates- that 2000 deaths have occurred at Adana txnd 3000 elsewhere in the vilayet, which is in a state of anarchy. The position of Marass is still precarious owing to renewed attacks on tihe Anmemians. Advices from Laranaca state that the massacre at Adana began in the markets on Wednesday. A Moslem mob, impelled by fanaticism and by a desire to loot, killed five> Armenians, and them withdrew to their own quarter, and resisted the mobs for 48 hours. Hordes of Moslem villagers arrived, and were supplied with arms by the authorities, who affected to rogard them as a military reserve. Wo men and children were horribly mutilated,, and the town resembles, a shambles. Similar scenes ocrurred at Tarsus, where 4000 people took reftage in the Asnerieam Collggo. ATHENS, April 20. The British warships landed 800 bluejackets at Mersina (near Adaaia, south-east coast of Asia Minor).
