SEVERAL MEN KILLED. London, December 16. There was an explosion in the Dmas colliery, Gilfeachgoch, Glamorganshire, while the bulk of the men were being paid their wages. Out of the twelve left in the pit seven were killed through burns and shock, one was injured, and the rest were rescued. NINETY MEN ENTOMBED. New York, December 17. An explosion in a mine at Yolande, near Birmingham, Alabama, resuted in 90 men being entombed. Forty groped their way to the surface within an hour. The rescuers found a number of corpses.
