Notwithstanding the continuous rain during the day and evening of Thursday last, the attendance at the children's concert and break-up of tne school was very large. The programme of 25 different items was gone through without a brea,k, the concert coming to a close shortly after 10 o'clock. All present were simply delighted at the manner in which the children acquitted themselves, and freely stated that very great pains must have been bestowed upon the children by the teachers and Mrs Patrick in bringing them up to such a high standard of perfection. The children were all nicely dressed for the occasion, and looked very pretty. About 50 of the smaller children took pai tin several pieces.
