Oats.— There is a brisk demand and prices are firm. Milling 2s 2d, bright short feed 2s Id to 2s l^cl, medium and . inferior Is 8d to 2s. Barley. — We have a good demand for prime malting samples. Rabbitskins. — Auction sales every fortnight during the off season. We offered a fair catalogue this week, when competition was very brisk and prices remained firm. Suckers and runners 3d to 6^d, summers 6£d to 9d, autumns 9d to 12d, springs lOd to 14£ d. Sheepskins. — We held our usual weekly sale on Tuesday, when we offered a very large catalogue. Competition was very keen and prices, firm at late rates. We quote : Pelts Is 9d to 2s 6d, crossbred 2s 9d to 9s, extra 9s 3d to 11s, merino 2s 6d to 7s 6d, extra 7s 9d to 9s. Hides. — We hold fortnightly sales. Prime ox 6d to 7^d, heavy do s^(l to 5f d, medium do 5d to s£d, light do 5d to s|d, calfskins Is 9d to 4s, yearlings 4s 6d to 7s 6d, horse hides 6s 6d to 9s 6d each. Tallow. — Rough fat 13s to 14s 6d, tallow in tins 15s to 18s, in casks 19s to 21s per cwt. Horsehair. — Keen demand from 18d to 19d per lb. We store and dress all classes of seed and grain. All our machinery is of the latest and most effective design, and is operated by practical men of long experience. Seeds. — We have on sale a speciallyselected stock of grass and clover seeds, which we quote as follow : — Heavy machined ryegrass 3s 6d to ss, cocksfoot 4§d to s£d, Italian 4s 3d to 4s 6d, white clover lOd to Is Id, Alsike 9d to lOd, cowgrass 8d to lOd, Timothy 6d. Samples on application. Orr's Californian Thistle and Weed Destroyer (used by the New Zealand Government). We supply this in lgal tins at 10s and sgal drums at 8s per gal. It is easily applied and thoroughly effective. We recommend a trial. GENERAL PRODUCE REPORT. Butter.— Best salt 8d to 9d, dairy butter (in pats) 7d to 7£dper pound. Eggs. — 9d . Market firm . Honey. — 3d to 4d per lb. Cheese. — 5d per lb. Bacon. — Rolls 7^d, hams 7£d to Bd. I Pigs. — In good demand at 3id, heavy weights 2|d to 3d. Poultry. — (Local) roosters 4s 6d to 5s per pair, hens 2s 6d per pair, ducks 4s 6d per pair. (Export), we nave received increased limits for South African orders.
