LOCAL STOCK SALE.

Mr John Thompson reports as follows : — There was a fair entry of all descriptions of stock and a Rood attendance of buyers. The bidding was spirited throughout and good prices obtained for all lines submitted. There were 200 sheep jarded and Fold as fol lowa . — Pen dry ewes 9s 3d, pen of ewes and lambs 53 3d per bead, pen of hoggets 8a 7d, pen of fat ewes 12a 3d. Cattle : 10 head sold as follows:— Miloh cows £4 10 to £5 3s, store cattle £3 ss. Two horses were sold, one light draught (4-year-old) at £28 and an sged horse £5 ss. Eight pigs were sold at 11s 6d to 15a. He also sold on account of the Tuapeka Agricultural Society 140 hurdles at 2s 6d each.
