The Bruce County Council forwarded statement of proposed expenditure of • thirds ' and ' fourths ' for periods 3rd January to 30tb March, 1901, and Ist. April to 3rd August, 1901.— Approved. The Receiver of Land Hevenue reported that theundermentionedpastoral licenses have not paid i ent due Ist September last:— No. 1037, Mrs Jessie Bell; No. 982, Dugald Bell; No. 633, Mrs B. Low ; No. 1,194, Maben and Mitchell.— To be advised tbat unless payment is made on or before tbe 31st inst. the several ! runs will be gazetted forfeited. Tbe case of F. J. Stephens, lessee of small grazing run, sections 28, block 3, Maniototo district, and 46, block 1, Naseby, who has been called upon to appear personally before tbe Board to show cause why bis lease should not be declared forfeited, was considered. — Mr Stephens appeared personally, and stated tbat be bad returned to the district to reside with his parents. He therefore applied for exemption from residence. — Granted during the pleasure of the Board.
