This move is the outcome of Japan's influence on Britain, with regard to Canadian legislation. Tha debate so far has been strongly of a nationalistic tone. The* speakers demand the insertion of Japanese, even at the \ risk of the Bill being vetoed. Sydney, September 25. Referring to the Propprty Acquisition Bill now before the Federal Parliament, which deals with the State properties to be handed over, the New South Wales Premier stated that he had appointed a board to inquire into the values of the properties, which he estimates will be higher than the valuation of the Federal Government. He urges the other States to Secure the d«lay v? the paas&gs t>( tk* measure, and desires a conference of Premiers to discuss the matter, not, however, with the object of constructing Federal progress, but to protect State rights.
