Washington, September 20.

Tons of floral tributes were sent to Canton, including wreaths bearing the nameß of many rulers and statesmen. King Edward's wreath was taken to Mr M'Kinley's house and placed on the coffin as the procession was proceeding to the church. London, September 20. M'Kinley memorial services were held everywhere, and business throughout London was largely suspended. ' A vast congregation attended the service at Westminster Abbey, including Mr and Mrs Choate, many Americans, and the Agents general for the various colonies. The King cabled to Mr Choate from the Continent : 'Our thoughts were especially with «he-~ American ration today, when your distinguished President was laid to- rest.'

The Queen has sent an an autograph ; letter of sympathy to Mrs M'Kinley.
