THE WARD DRAMATIC GO.

The above company appeared in the Town Hall on Wednesday and Thursday evening when tbe popular drama " Lady Audley'e Secret " was presented on both, evenings. The attendance on Wednesday evening was very good, bufc on the second evening there was nob so large an attendance. While admitting that all the characters wer9 fairly we'l presented, it must be said the play scarcely came up to public expectation, T,his may be accounted for by tbe fact that there were no staging effects as announced, and in the sensational and realistic fire scene the experience ot the and ie nee on the first nighfc was anything but pleasant. Tbe smoke and fumes from i be ingredients used to produce the effect were so dense as to almost asphyxiate those in the vicinity of the platform.
