KINEMATOGRAPH CO.
The Christchurch Syndicate's Kinematograph and Gaiety Co. gave an entertainment in the Town Hall last evening, wh.en, conconsidering that a similar exhibition had been given in tbe early part of the week, there was a good attendance. The programme consisted of a series of kinematograph views, principally in connection with the Boer war, interspersed wi'h comic pictures, and a vpry fine view of the Paris Exhibition. The views ware very well shown and elicited warm applause. Mr G. Marson performed a number of very clever lpgerd»main tricks, which were applauded, and later sang several patriotic aoegs in good style. Mr J Mitson supplied the comic element, and amused the audience with his droll witticisms, while his dancing was also well reoeivnd. The aooompaniments were artistically played by Miss Moore. Taken altogether the show was a really enjoyable and interesting one, and met with the approval of the audience.
