MARRIAGE.
BLACK-ANDERSON.
On New Year's Day Mr John T. Black, eldest son of Mr John Black, Waitahuna, was married to Jeanie, second daughter of Mr Walter Anderson, of Lawrence. The ceremony took placo at< the residence of the bride's parents, Wliitehaven-street, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. J. A. Will. Mr R. Black acted as " best man," while the bridesmaids were Misses Jeanie Clarke, Annie Blackie, and Isabel Anderson. After tho nuptial knot had been well and truly tied a large number of guests Eat down too a sumptuous wedding breakfast. In the afternoon the weddiog party drove to Round EWI, where the happy couple took the train for Dunedin, where Ihey will spend their honeymoon. Tho newly married couple were the recipients of al.irge number of useful and ornamental wedding presents. In the evening a large gathering of young people spent a very pleasant time at the residenoe of the bride's parents.
