I PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the -*■ Lawrence Borough Council, under and by virtue of the powers conferred upon the sajid Council by " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," and its amendments, proposes to BORROW a sum of MONEY by way of special loan, of which the following are the particulars : — 1. The proposed loan is for the purposesof lighting the streets and public places of the Borough of Lawrence with Electricity, and of supplying Electricity for lighting purposes and for motive power to the inhabitants of the said borough ; and for acquiring land, erecting buildings, providing machinery and plant, and generally doing all works and things necessary for effecting such lighting, and for the supply of electricity for lighting and motive power to the inhabitants of the said borough. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed is five thousand pounds (£5,000) sterling. 3. It is proposed to pledge as security for the Loan in additien to such parts of the Borough Fund as may be law-, fully charged all works constructed for effecting the electric lighting and the supply of electricity as aforesaid and the Rents and Profits derived from the supply of Electricity for lighting purposes and motive power aforesaid.
