The return from the Bakery Flat Sluicing Company for two weeks is 250z 14dwt 14gr. The Champion Gold Mining Company (Limited) obtained 12oz ldwt 14gr of gold for last week. Owing to the nnfortun&U delay of gettJDg their plant on the ground the Fraser Basin Hydraulic Sluicing Company have found it necessary, to close down for the winter. A large paddock has already been stripped in readiness for elevating as soon as the oompany commence operations in the spring. ' From the prospects obtained from work already done it is confidently expected that the shareholders will not be disappointed in the claim as a gold-producer. An Auckland telegram states that returns from the Kauri Company Freehold Gold es1 tates at Opitonui show that during the past month 1996 tons were treated, for bullion ' valued at £1975. The total won from the mine to date is £23,680. j
