Messrs A. Mobitzson & Co., Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for the week ending April 25th, 1900. All quotations subject to market fluctuations. We would ask farmers, when sending samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do not feel inclined to make offers. Wheat.— Prime samples are the only description that have any attention, medium and inferior being reglecfced. Fowl feed is in fair demand. We quote : Best velvet, 2s 6d ; best Tuscans, 2s 6d ; medium 2s 4d to 2s sd; red chaff, 2s sd ; fowls' wheat, Is lid to 2s Id. Oats : Prime milling, Is lid ; bright short feed, Is lOd ; mediifm and inferior, Is 6d to Is 9d. Barley : Feed sorts, Is 6d to Is 9d ; milling, Is lOd to 2s ; malting,2s4dto2slod. Byecoru, 2s to 2s 6d. Flour: We quote, L6 IOB. Oatmeal, in 25'5,L11. Pearl barley.LlO 10s. Bran, L 3. Pollard, L 4. Nelson hops are quoted at 8d to lid, f.o.b. Chaff : We quote prime, L 3 to L 3 2s 6d; medium, 52s 6d to 57s 6d per toj. Byegrasß.- There is a fair demand but prices show no improvement. We quote: Farmer-dressed, Is ?1 to Is 8d ; extra clean aad heavy up to Is 9d. The bulk ol the seed offering is much inferior to that of last season, being very light. Cocksfoot, 2Jd to 3d for farmers' Jots, and 4d to t\A for machined. Linseed, Llo— wanted. Pressed straw, LI ss. Clover hay, L 3 ss. Nitrate of soda, Lls. Potatoes, L 2 10s. Eabitskins.— We offered a fair catalogue this week, when the cojapetition was good. We quote : Suckers and runners, 3d to 6d ; sum-mm-iC, 6d to 8d ; autumns, 9d to lid.— Sale every Monday Sheepskins.— We quote : Pelts, 6d +o la,9d ; extra to 2s 96. ; lambskins, Is 4d to 2s 3d j extra to 2s 9d. Sales every Tuesday. Hides. — Id to 4fd, according to weight and condition. We have a special inquiry and can guarantee the very top market prices. Tallow.— Bough fat, 13s to 14s ; rendered, 16s to 225. Horsehair, Is 2d to Is 4d. Binder Twine.— We have a large stock and shall be pleased to supply same at lowest quotations. Country sales conducted on the most reasonable terms. Crown Sheep Dip, the bust in the market, 4s 6d per gal'on. We supply rabbit and sheep netting and .quote specially by the mile. J.RTJIT AND PEODUCE BEPOBT. Butter.— 7d to 7sd, pastry 6d to 6Jd, se parator 8d to BJd. Cheese.— Good Akaroa 5d to 5Jd, factory 5Jd to s|d. Pigs.— 3Jd to 3£d for good quality. Beeswax, Is 6d to Is 7d, according to quality. Poultry.— ln fair demand. Hens and roosters 2s to 2s 6d, ducks 2s to 2s 6d, turkeys 6d to 8d per lb, geese 5s to 5s 6d per pa:r./ Honey, 4d to 4jd. Walnuts, 5d to SidBacon, 6d to 6Jd ; middles, 7d ; rolls, 6|d to 6Jd hams, 7d to 7}d. Butter Boses.— We can supply 561 b butter boxes with vegetable parchment lining at 17s per dozen net on trucks here. Vickery's Egg Preservative., 22s 6d per case.
