LOCAL SALES.

The horses were in excellent order, and the bidding was animated throughout. On account of other clients two draughts and one yearling were disposed of at sale prices. Pigs : Fourteen were disposed of, slips bringing 10s and stores 15s 6d. Sheep : No sheep came forward, the weather being too wet.
Mr Thompson also reports having sold privately during the week sections 61 and 64, block v., Tuapeka East, containing 361 acres of agricultural land, situated at Clarks Flat, to Mr Geo. S. Walker for 25s per acre cash. Messrs J. A. Duthie and Co. hold their next sale of stock at their yards, Milton, on Tuesday next.
