MISSING FRIENDS.
Inquiry is made in ' Lloyd's Weekly ' for the following :— Frederick Shade, of Blyford, Suffolk, went to Australia about May, 1873 ; last wrote from Brisbane about sixteen years ago, when he thought of going to New Zealand; brother Charles asks. Jane Morton, n4e Maxwell, left Killeshandra, County Cavan, Ireland, about thirty years since for Auckland ; sister Susan seeks her. Tratin Weekes left England with the 11th Hussars for Bengal in 1870, and on his return Home volunteered into 9th Lancers in 1880 ; he took his discharge from that regiment in India about 1885, and went to Melbourne ; supposed since to have gone to New South Wales ; sister Esther inquires. Isabella Quelch went to New Zealand about twenty years ago ; brother Henry inquires. Martin Rogers, bricklayer, left North Shields eighteen years ago as fireman on board the s.s. Queensland, bound for Queensland ; he is now supposed to be in Auckland ; sister Mary and brother Edward ask. William Bell was last heard of in Auckland ; sister (Mrs See) asks. James Watt Clark— born at Finchley about 1835, went to school in Bath, Somerset, in 1847, and lived with his aunts, Mrs Calrow and Mrs Gibson, from 1857 to 1859— seeks hi& cousins Walter and Henry ; or relatives named Gibson, Calrow, Bagley, and Clark, who went to New Zealand forty years ago. Sarah Clothier and her husband Charles left London twentytwo years back, and went to New Zealand, living for some time at Christchurh ; when last heard from about 1880, Sarah was in service "up-country." Her aged mother (now in her eighty-sixth year) and her brother William wish for news.
