MILTON v. LAWRENCE.

A match between the Milton and Lawrence Tennis Clubs was played on the local green yesterday afternoon. The weather was agreeably fine, the green in capital order, and the match a most enjoyable one. From the fifjurps which arc appended, it will be seen that the vnme resulted in a complete victory for the local players. In the douhles, Parian c and Lockhart (Milton) played Gardner and Morris (Lawrence). 13—16; Maitland and Stewart (Milton) played Bevin and Darton (Lawrence), 5—18: M'Clymont and Martin (Milton) played Rinrtmarsh and Woods (Lawrence), 16—16. Totals: Milton, 34; Lawrence, 50. In the singles, Martin (2) played Hindmarsh (9>, Maitland (9) played Bevin (3), Parluno i 9) played Gardner (6), Stewart (4) played Woods (9), M'Olymont (7) played Morris (9). Totals : Milton, 31 ; Lawrence, 36. Majority for Lawrence, 21.
