CHRISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE.
The following is the Corn Exchange report for week endiag April 9 :—: — Wheat. — Although there has been little change in the Home price since our last report, we reluctantly have to chronicle a decline in our local market at 2d per bushel, the highest price we have been offered this week being 3s lOd (f.0.b.) fora splendid line of Tuscan ; but we have been flooded with discoloured and sprouted lines at all sorts of prices. Oats — .Feed sorts show a better feeling for outside demand. The following are prices paid to farmers (f.o.b. Lyttelton, packages extra) : — Wheat : Prime Tuscan, 3s lOd ; pearl, 3s 9d to 3s 10d; Hunter's, 3s 5d to 3s 6d; whole (damaged), 3s to 3s 2d. Oats : Prime milling, Is 8d ; bright feed, Is 6d to Is 7d. Barley : Malting (second quality), 3s to 3s 3d.
