President's Handicap.— Enfield 1, Melton 2, Apres Moi 3. Dividend, £1 14s. Maiden Plate. — Mirabelle 1, Recovery 2. A protest was entered against the winning jockey for dismounting without orders. District Plate. — Apres Moi 1, Gardenia 2. Dividend, £1 18s. Tapanui Handicap.— Wild Wave 1, The Chief 2, Black Jack 3. Dividend, £2 Bs. Time Trot. — Glenshee 1, Nobbie 2. Dividend, £4 125. Grand Stand Handicap.— Enfield 1, The Chief 2, Wild Wave 3. Dividend, £1 11s. The protest against Mirabelle in the Maiden Plate was upheld, and the stake awarded to Recovery. SECOND DAT— FRIDAY. Annexed are the results of the second day's racing: — Publicans' Handicap.— Wild Wave 1, Enfield 2. Time Trot.— Linnet 1, Bentnore 2. Dividend, £26 2s. - District Hack Race.— Garryowen. Racing Club Handicap.— Apres Moi 1, Enfield 2, The Chief 3. Dividend, ±2 125. Selling Hack Race.— Daddy 1, Black Jack 2. Dividend, £20 18s.
Consolation Handicap.— Melton. Dividend, £4 10s. Subscription Consolation Trot. — Dolly. The sum of £2230 was put through the tataliaator dnring the two days.
