THE TUAPEKA ELECTORAL DISTRICT.

The boundaries of the Tuapeka electoral district as defined by the Permanent Commission are published in the last issue of the Government " Gazette " and are as follows :—: — This district is bounded towards the north-east and east by the "Waiheino electoral district, herein before described, from the source of Lauder Creek to Laminerlaw.; again towards the north-east by the Taieri electoral district.hereinbefore described, to the summit of the range leadinar from Trig. Station T to Trig. Station E, Tuapoka East survey district ; toward the south-east and south generally by the Bruce electoral district, hereinbefore described, to a point on the left bank of the Clutha Eiver due east of Trig. Station D, Kankleburn survey district ; thence towards the west by the Clutha Eiver to the confluence of Blackcleutrh Burn with the said Clutha Eiver ; thence by Blackcleugh Burn to a point due south of Tapanui Hill ; thence by a right line to the said Tapanui Hill ; thence by the summit of the range to Trig. Station L, Crookston survey district ; thence by Blocks XIV. and XIII., and section No. 14, Block XVII., of the said Crookston survey district, to the road forming the northern boundary of the said section No. li; thence towards the south by that road and the road forming the northern boundaries of the following sections, viz., Nos. 15 and 21 of the said block XVII., 16, 15 ,and 14, block XII., and and 12, block IX., Crookston survey district, and section No. 13, block VII L, of the said survey district, to the road forming the north-eastern boundaries of sections Nos. 10 and 28 of the -said block VIII. ; thefcee by that rood and its continuation through sectiln No. 11 to Spylaw Burn ; thence by Spylaw Burujto its confluence with the Pomahaka river ;fc hence again towards the east by the said Pomahaka Biver to the confluence of Leithen Burn with that river ; thence towards the south-west by Leithen Burn to the source of its eastern branch ; thence by a right lina to Black Umbrella (Trig Station X) ; thence towards the north-west by the summit of the Black Umbrella Mountains to a point due east of Eocky Mount ; thence again towards the south by a right line to the said Kqcky Mount ; thence towards the west by the summit of the Garvie Mountains and the summit of the Carrick Range to Run No, 330 a ; thence again towards the north by the said Run No. 330 a ; and Eun No. 325 ato the Clutha Eiver ; thence again towards the west by the right bank of that river to a point due west of the confluence of Leaning Rock Creek with the said Clutha Eiver ; thence again towards the north by a right line to the said confluence; and thence again towards the northwest by the said Leaning Bock Creek to its source ; thence by a right line to Leaning Bock Hill ; thenQe by the summit of the Dunstan Mountains to, Eun No. 238 ; and theuce hy that run and by Enns Nos. 273e and 226 bto Lauder Creek, at the boundary of the Waiheuio electoral district aforesaid, the place of commencement.
