LOCAL SALES. Mr J. C. Arbuckle reports having held a sale of stock at his Lawrence yards yesterday afternoon. Sheep: Lambs brought 10s 6d j fat sheep, 14s to 15s, 6d: crossbred ewes (broken mouths), 9s 8d ; merino ewes, 5s 2d. Cattle ; Fat cows, £4 10s to £6. Horses : Draught (aged), £10 ; saddle horses to £8 10s. Pigs : Slips, 17s 6d. Oompetition for the various lots was fairly brisk, but the demand for sheep at this time of the year, owing to scarcity of feed, has somewhat slackened off. ,
