I dreamt I was a bird so fair, ■WJtn glittering mugs and anew plv*\ne i ', Soirag, soaring through the air, And passing woods of sweet x^erfnmei As onward, onward then I flew, Thtflieaveus (jecarae o'ercast ; As nearer, nearer theirl drew, ', i I-treiublSd for the past. ' >.."' The' Almighty King, sat on his throve. And near him lay a book ; As page by page he giized upon, . , With nra the.ea.rtli iie shook, "Oh, wicked'TUßß-l" Jeliovah cried, " With devils thou shalt dwell : , v Wbose, souls with crimson crimo is dyed, ' Bego'iie to yonder hell.' ' I Then I saw the Prince of All, r ' And, lo ! be stood between. Aud : stid': " Ob, God ! Thy vow recall, "My Father! oh ! My King. And I will hear the sinuer's'load. Thalf»ll the world may know. For them I left the Throne of God To. die on earth below.'' Thou darkness o'er the heavens spread. V(hile, angers veiled tlieiv eyes, , " 'Tiß'finißhecL now," Jehovah said : "Behold "My Son he dies."
