WAITAHUNA FARMERS' CLUB.
A meeting of the sub-committee appointed by the above club to allocate thje prizes at the forthcoming agricultural show met in the Good Templars' Hall on Monday evening. The President reported that the various' oauvassers ha<jl been unusually successful in collecting donations of money and kind, chiefly in Lawrence and Dunedin. A large number of the gifts were really valuable, and' it was to be hoped that the competition in the various classes of stook would be keener than at any of the previous annual gatherings of tbe club. — Tbe allocation of the prizes w«w then proceeded with, after which it was deoided that the entries for salt butter close on the 19th instant, and for the other classes, of exhibits, on the 27th instant— two days preceding the show. —It was agreed that sufficient wire netting be procured to enclose the. dairy produce on exhibition in the club's build : ing on show-day. — The Vice- President was empowered to get the grounds put in order and to make all other necessary arrangements for the show. — The secretary teported that satisfactory arrangements had been made with the local fife and drum band to play a selection of tunes on the day of the show. — This was all the business.
