THE PUBLIC TBUSI' OFFICE °» NEW ZEALAND. ITS OBJECTS. 1. The Administration of Intestate Estates, and the realisation and distribution of the personal Estate. 2. The Executorship of the Wills of persons who may appoint the Public Trustee their Executor, and thus avoid the necessity which otherwise would exist of committing their friends to the responsibilities involved by such position. 3. All proposed investments are considered by a Board of Officers, ensuring careful consideration of all securities offered. 3. The Government of the Colony is responsible for the honest fulfilment of all trusts placed in the office. ITS INCREASING POPULARITY. Be working of the Bagger you lately fitted on to my chaffcutter, bought from you four years ago, I beg to state that nothing could work better. I would have had the Bagging apparatus fitted on long ago, but everybody that seemed to know anything about Self Baggers held that a chaffcutter would Dot cut so much with a Bagger as without it. However, lam thoroughly well satisfied. We make capital work with the machine, never having any stoppages through belts, etc., going wrong, whioh is the main object with either a threshing machine or chaffcutter, if the owner means to please the farmers, and I have had a good deal of experience in that line, having been threshing and chaffcufcting for over 17 years south of Balclutha. The cutter has now been at work for over two months and we have not had a single break. (Signed) John Ckeoan. IMPROVED GUANO~AND TURNIP SOWERS, For sowing 3, 4, 5, 6, or 8 Drills on the Flat. Respecting the Grass-seed Strippers I had from you last Beason } I am glad to inform' you that they have worked well and gave every satisfaction. I used them in stripping ryegrass and cocksfoot grasses, making good work in both. 1 worked one of your strippers throughout the season alongside one made by another Colonial firm, both covering the same width, the result being that your machine saved quite a third more seed. Draught about equal. Prior to the inrtoduction of these light Strippers, large quantities of seed were lost in dry seasons, the grass seldom attaining a length sufficient to admit of its being cut aud bound. With the Strippers the grass need not be saved, but can with advantage be lightly stocked with sheep during the season, as they keep down the undergrowth, clover, &c, allowing the bulk of the seed stalks to mature. — (Signed) John Elliot, Manager Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co.
