LOCAL SALES- STOCK, &c.
Messrs Abbuckie, Kobertson and Co. report Laving held a very successful sale at Heriot on Thursday last, when they disposed of upwards of 130 head fat and store cattle, realising up to £7 per head, 200 sheep at up to 12s 6d, and 30 pigs at satisfactory prices.
Mr John Thompson reports that there was a large attendance of buyers and others at bis monthly sale at Tuapeka Flat yards on Thursday ljst. The prices realised for all classes of stock were very s itisfa^tory. Sheep : 223 half-bred hoggets realised 10s 6d to Us 51 ; fat merino wet her?, 8* 9d ; merino ewes, 6j 3d ; fat ewes, 12s 6d ; 170 cross-bred ewes, fa 6d ; 124 lambs, 7s 7d. Cattle ; Milch cows, up to £6 ; store heifers and cows, from £3 5s to £4 ; two-year-olds, £2. Horses : Light draughts up to £14. Pigs : Store pig", up to £2 la each j breeding sows, up to £5 153.
