General Report.
There was a good attendance of the pupils. The various classes made a very good appearance. I was much pleased with the readiness and accuracy with which the work was done. The following notes show the quality of the instruction in the different subjects -.—Reading : ready and fairly expressive, but not always distinct enough. Explanation: fair. Spelling: very good, and neatly written. Writing: good throughout. Arithmetic: very fairly done._ Grammar: well answered, with good composition. Geography: veryfciir, History : fairly known. The infant classes ate carefully taught. Singing and object-lessons receive due attention, but no object - lessons have been given to the lower classes. The sewing appeared to be of superior quality. The scholars are attentive and weltbehaved, D. Pexbie, M.A., Inspector.
