CHRISTOHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. Report for the week ending Friday, 13th inst. :— The continued depression in wheat is most disheartening to producers, who may be said to be hoping , against hope. The prices offered in the looal market are 'such as to preclude much business being done ; indeed, they are equivalent to the announcement that buyers decline to operate for the present. Oats are not quite so firm, although former quotations are still upheld. Wheat.— Sound Tuscan, 3s 3d ; pearl, 3a 2d ; Hunter's white, 3s to 3s Id ; damp and seconds, from 2s to 2s 6d. Oats.— Bright milling, 2s 4d ; good short feed, 2s 2£d to 2s 3d ; inferior and discolored, Is 8d to 1b lOd. ■
