Messrs Maclean and Co. report for the week ending 22th June.as follows.:-^ «,■.„ Fat Cattle.— The moderate supply of 121 head p.-vino T<fr]j#ar6]_ f^r ib-dajV Requirements, ■ about one-'tbircTof which were prime quality, and the remainder , ordinary. .Although, the number yarded was. by no means excessive, pricek showed no improvement tin last week's quotations, except for a few pens of heavy good quality bullocks, which realised a Bhade over recent rates, whilst the general tone of the market was on a level with previous sales. Bidding was somewhat slaok, and in many cases quite void of animation, the result being a few lines turned out unsold. Prime bullooks brought from £7 15s to £9 15s ; fair to eood, £4 15s to £7; cow S r?rom £4 6s to £8" 15s. We quote prime beef 22s 6d per 1001 b- . during tbj-.week, we have placed 72 head at satisfactory prices. Fat Sheep. — 2974) were penned for to-day's market, 2234 of *which were crossbreds, and the balance medium. .'merinos. -Competition throughout was fairly brisk, but the supply penned proved fully in excess of requirements, ! and were it not for the~fact that the trade had ho stocks on hand, a heavy reduction would .have had to be submitted to. ,The market, '.throughout was very^unsteady, and in several 'cases a decline' of frbm Is to*,, Is 6d was observable, and in a good many instances a. considerable adrancc was obtained, so that it was difficult to arrive at an average value per lb. However, we consider our last week's, quotations may be taken as applicable to-day. Crossbreds brought from lls to 17« 9d ; ' ■ merinos, 69 6d to 8s 3d. We sold on accou-it of D. Murray, Esq. (Tupanui), 199 merinos at 8s 3d; Messrs A. and J. Brown (Green Island), '41 crossbreds at 12s, and 81 merinos at from 7a -to 7s 9d ; A. Carrick, Esq. (Waihola), 77 crossbreds at 13s ; W. Miller, Esq. (Glenore), 67 do at 14a 6d to 153 6d ; Messrs Royse, Stead, ,and. 4 Co. (from their Wyndham Estate), 149 crossbreds at from 12s 9d to 13s. We quote prime mutton 2£d per lb.

Pigs. — Only 95 yarded. With good competition, all were sold at prices ranging from ,26s to 80s. On -aecount of David Murray, Esq. (Tapanui), .we sold 8 bacon' pigs at from £3 15s to £4, and 5 porkers at 355 ; and on account of George Crosbie, Esq: '(Edendale), we sold 10 at £3 12s, .and sat £2 15s ; and on account of Mr George, 2 at £2 18s.

Horses. — We held our usual sale at Dunediu Tatters;) Us on Saturday last. We quote first-class draughts, £25 to £37 ? medium, £18 to £24 ; good hacks- and Hght-harnesa horses, £12 to £17 ; medium, £B. to £12.

Woph — Several-cablegrams received during the.week have been somewhat contradictory, but the following report appears to have been the position of the Home market at the closing of the sales. The latest cablegram is dated London, ,22nd. June, and reports: — " lhe "wool sales closed to-day. J Fine to superfine qualities generally are steady, but the demand is inactive. Inferior and faulty of all descriptions are weak."

Sbeepskina. — There, was a full attendance of the trade at our weekly sale, held, as usually, 'on Monday. Competition w»w not so brisk as was experienced at' last week's sale, and values for several lots were a shade lower, ' particularly as regards crossbreds. Butchers' crossbreds brought from la 8d to 3s 6d ; merinos, Is 9d to 3s. Dry skins — crossbreds, Is 5d to 2s lOd ; meriuos, Is 9J to 2s 6d.

Hides. — Becent quotations apply— viz., from 3d to 4^d, according to condition and weight. ".

Rabbitskins.— We did not sell any this week. We quote well-furred, la. Id to Is lid ; medinm, 9d to Is j suckers, 3£d to 7id per lb. _^__
