EVENING SITTING.

At the evening sitting, the following resolutions were arrived at : —

Moved by Mr Bennet, and seconded by Mr Buchanan — " That the Engineer prepare the necessary plans and specifications for the Beaumont and Waitahuna bridges at as early a date as possible."

Proposed by Mr Herbert, and seconded by Mr Mervyn — " That Ranger Gordon be instructed to collect the depasturing fees on Alt. Benger commonage during the 1 resent month, and that Mr Manuel (Chairman of Committee) be informed that, should the commonage be vested in Trustees, the assessment fees will be refunded pro rata.

Mr Mervyu moved, and Mr Herbert seconded — "That Ranger Gordon receive £30 as payment for all claims made by him for mustering stock on Mt. Benger Commonage."

Mr Mervyn moved, and Mr Herbert seconded — " That Ranger Gordon be paid the sum of Is 9d per head for 227 head of great cattle fonnd depasturing on Mt. Benger Commonage without authority."

Mr Mervyn moved, and Mr Herbert seconded — "That all power' and authority hitherto held by the Mt. Benger Commonage Committee under the County Council be revoked."
