TUAPEKA FLAT SCHOOL ANNUAL EXAMINATION.

At the recent examinatinn of the above school, conducted by Mr Pope and several members of Committee, the following boys and girls were successful prizetakers :—: — Third Sequel.— Timothy Crowley— first in reading and spelling ; second in grammar, geography, writing, and arithmetic. William M'lntyre — First in grammar, geography, writing, and arithmetic ; second in spelling and reading. — Girls : — Wilhelmina Labes — First in arithmetic, grammar, geography, spelling, dictation, and recitation. Hannah Crowley — First in arithmetic, writing, and recitation ; second in spelling and dictation. a Mary Ann Crowley — Second in grammar, dictation, and writing. Elizabeth Georgina Mackay — First in reading. Margaret Ross—^Second in arithmetic. Jane Smith— Second in arithmetic and writing. Elizabeth Murray— Second in geography. Second Sequel.— Boys : Robert MurrayFirst in spelling j second in reading and geography. Finlay VEunro — First in grammar and geography ; second in arithmetic. James Ross — First in reading and writing j second in grammar. James M'lntyre — First in arithmetic—Girls :— Margaret Crowley— First for general proficiency. Royal Reader.— Boys :— John Crowley— First in reading, geography, and writing ; second in grammar. Patrick Crowley — first in arithmetic, grammar, and reading ; second in writing. Michael Cahill— First in reading; second in geography and arithmetic— Girls : Johanna Cahill— First in arithmetic, grammar, and geography. Anne Smith — second in arithmetic, grammar, and geography. Mary Ross, first in reading ; Jessie Ross, second in reading. Mr Bastings's prizes for beßt boy and girl were carried off by Wilhelmina Labes and William M'lntyre. Messrs Fr&er and Jeffery also gave prizeß. There were several ties for first and second in some branches, as tha list shows.
