The rider of the winning horse will be presented with a handsome whip. Post entry, ss. One mile. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of 20 soys., for all beaten horses. Entries (to be made directly after the Lawrence Handicap), £1 10. ■ One and a half miles. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Mares and geldings allowed 31b. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or who ever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races excepted) unless both owner and nominator be subscribers to the Race Fund of not less than two guineas. General entries will be received by the Secretary, at his office, up to 8 p.m. of the 15th March. Entrance money to be enclosed with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse and name of owner and colors of the rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined £2. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walking over will receive 50 per j cent only of the stakes. ' Parties entering protests will require to deposit one guinea. If protest is sustained, the guinea will be returned. The Tuapeka Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced. GEO. B.
