LAND SALE AT LAWRENCE.
The land sale, notified to be held yesterday, took place at the appointed hour and place, viz., at the Survey Office, Lawrence, at 2 o'clock. There was but a small attendance, and as will be seen below the whole of the land in Waitahuna West passed to Mr. James Smith, of Greenfield Station, at the upset price. The land was sold by Mr, R. B. Martin, the Government Auctioneer. Ttjapeka East. — Block 11. Sec. Area Purchaser Eealised. 46 10 00 William Draper £3 f acre 203 23 32 „ £3 „ Waitahtxua West. — Block Y.
Section 64, block IV., Table Hill, was withdrawn from sale, pending survey. Intimation was only received of the fact on the day of sale, the consequence was that Mr. Thomas Murray and Mr. Walter Miller, both intending purchasers, had a vain errand to Lawrence.
