ALEXANDRA MINERS' ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Alexandra Miners' i Association was held on the 10th iiibt. Present: Messrs. Sims, Craig, Forrest, Drnmmey, and Simmonds. The President, Mr. Drummey, occupied ( the chair. He opened theTmeetin^in the | usual way, and made a few remarks in reference to the leasing and selling of auriferous lands in mining districts. j Proposed by Mr. Fonvst. that the • minutes of the last meeting be ivad and | confirmed. i Sect mded by Mr. Sims. Carried. j Proposed b} r Mr. Sims that Mr. George i Spencer be elocted a member of Com- | mitteeof the A.M. A. Seconded by Mr. James Craig. Carried. Tlio Secretary being instructed at the last meeting to communicate with the Waste Lands Board in reference to the auriferous nature of Bald Hill Flat, read the letter which he had forwarded, which the Committee thoroughly approved of. Proposed by Mr. James Craig that the Secretary be instructed to communicate with the Duustan Miners' Association, knowing that some of the Committee had prospected the said district. Seconded by Mr. Forrest. Cairiecl. Several notices of motion were brought j foi\said, after which a vote of thanks to the chair brought the meeting to a close.
