(Press Association.) Dunedin, May 7. In moving the reply to the Address, Mr. Fish, whose speech consisted of three paragraphs, concluded by saying : — "As respects Executive changes during the recess, no doubt much might be Baid. However, their opinions now would serve no practical purpose. Ho would be prepared to deal with the policy of the Government on its merits."
(From a Correspondent.) DunedlxV, May 7A want-of-confidence motion was moved this afternoon by Mr. Reid as an amendment on Mr. Fish's reply to the Superintendent's Address. Parties about equally divided. The session likely to be an acrimonious and protracted one. The goldfields members possess the balance of power, if they work \initedly.
