The English mail arrived at Auckland by the s.s. Wonga Wonga at 8 a.m. to-day. Russia remains firm, and is massing troops on the Turkish frontier. Russian feeling warlike.
England is arming, so as not to be taken by surprise.
Paris refuses to surrender. It is said that food is deficient, meat being quite exhausted. The Prussians have decided commencing the bombardment on the 15th December. It is believed the bombardment will not take place. There are only thirty German guns mounted.
There was a battle fought at Versailles from the 30th November to the 2nd December — both sides claimed a victory. The Erench state they captured 15,000 Prussians.
Von Ritter claims capturing 11,000 Erench.
Prussia declares its intention to occupying Luxembourg as a military necessity.
