Police r. Sheath. — The defendant (who did not appear) was charged with having allowed six head of cattle, his property, to stray within the boundary of the municipality of Lawrence. Fined Is. per head, with costs of Court. The Magistrate remarked that as it was the first case of the kind, he would not inflict the full penalty. Keen v. M'Bkeabty. — Claim £6 17s. for drugs sold and delivered. No appearance of defendant. Verdict for amount claimed, with costs and expenses.
